FilChaudNX download, installation and update
1. But first, what means FilChaudNX ?
"Fil" = Wire in French
"Chaud" = Hot in French
➡️ "FilChaud" = HotWire
"N" = 2 or 4 (depending of the part of the software you want to use)
"X" = aXes
so "FilChaudNX" = HotWire(2 or 4)aXes 😄
2. Compatibility and Installation Tips
FilChaudNX works only on "real" PC, on Windows (from XP to W11)
Computers called hybrids, convertibles, 2-in-1s, etc. won't do (and more generally any computer with a touchscreen won't do) : Microsoft Surface, Asus Zenbook Flip, HP Spectre x360... won't do.
Beware of messages that the installer may display, depending on your version of Windows : if there are newer files on your machine, keep them, not replace them.
If an error window indicates that the file vb6fr.dll was not found, copy it from C:\Program Files\FilChaudNX and paste it into C:\Windows\SysWow64 for 64-bit versions of Windows.
On older machines (e.g. XP), you need to ensure that FilChaudNX can communicate with DLL files written in Visual C++ 2008. To do this, you need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x86) Redistributable Package. You'll find it on the Microsoft website, or here.
3. First Installation Download
If FilChaudNX has never been installed on your computer, use the setup file below. Just double-clic on the .exe file. The installation software will create a folder "FilChaudNX" in "My Documents". See the .pdf documentation for more information.
For the English version, you must change the language in the Software Settings 
and close/restart FilChaudNX :

FilChaudNX is written in Visual Basic 6 and is not a very well know software, and non "signed", so your antivirus can give you a warning, but it's a "false positive". You can copy and paste the URL on the virustotal.com website to test it with multiple antivirus softwares and see that its "clean".
4. Update Download
If FilChaudNX is already installed, juste launch the update to replace only the "FilChaudNX.exe" file and keep all the settings and library files unchanged.

The installer will archive the old version of "FilChaudNX.exe" and replace it with the new version. If you don't like the new version, you can easily find the old one in the archive folder. More details in the user guide.
5. Settings storage and transfer
The settings of FilChaudNX are stored in "My Documents/FilChaudNX/Datas/FilchaudNX.ini".
The files library is located in "My Documents/FilChaudNX/Bibliotheque"
➡️ If you want to transfer all your settings and files to another PC, first install FilChaudNX on the new PC, then replace the "My Documents/FilChaudNX" folder on the new PC with that on the old PC.
6. Licence purchasing
The license is only needed to unlock the direct cut and the Gcode export. I use the web service "systeme.io" to manage the orders and billings for multiple countries, here is an access button to the ordering page :
I will manually edit the license in your name, it's not automatic. So it could take a little time between 1 and 96 hours, depending on were I am on Earth and of my schedule.
Once payment has been received and depending on my availability, I will code the license and send it to you.
The license is for one user, who can install it on several workstations at home.
